Did you happen to see the Yahoo! home page today? If not, I recommend you check it out. It's a pretty interesting place to catch up on what's happening. They have their Featured News section near the top, that's my favourite. It has great photographs and eye-catching captions. Click the photo that corresponds to the news that interests you, and a video or gallery pops up to fill you in on the daily topic you've chosen. The Yahoo people do a really good job on their site.
The reason I asked if you've seen today's edition, is because there is a headline there that is so teasing and tempting that I couldn't help but click on the scantily-clad runway model to find out more. The headline reads, A Sexy Thong Gone Wrong. Seriously.
Seems that a lady in Los Angeles was involved in an unfortunate accident when her thong malfunctioned. The panties didn't have a lot of material, but they did have a sparkly rhinestone attached to make them extra pretty. The woman started to put on the pretty thong panties, then 'ping!' The article didn't say which way the rhinestone flew, but the metal clip holding it in it's rightful place shot up into the eye of its owner.
According to the news report, the LA victim screamed when it happened and had to have a steroid solution applied to her scratched cornea. She's suing Victoria's Secret.
The woman's lawyer went on the Today Show to discuss the tragedy publicly.
What a sad story.
I love the Yahoo! home page.
