We lost a comedic icon yesterday.  George Carlin succumbed to a long history of heart problems at the age of 71.

How is it possible that George was that old and frail?  I grew up listening to his naughty comedy, and I'm not old.  He, along with Cheech and Chong, would keep my friends and I howling throughout our teenage years.  There was something 'anti-establishment' about their records and radio broadcasts, which endeared them all the more to us.  It doesn't seem so long ago, certainly not long enough for any of them to be older and in poor health.

George Carlin was reknown for his irreverant and direct humour.  He never stopped entertaining.  George last performed a week before his death.

Thanks for bringing us the 'Seven Words You Can Never Say on TV', George.  We'll miss you.
