Welcome to my blog. It is a crazy compilation of whatever topics strike my fancy on a creative level. It's part personal writing roots, part promotion of other wonderful writers and part personally practical.
What have you got to lose by reading? It's free!

Wishing you all a very happy holiday season. May all your dreams come true in 2013.
This video shows Jose Feliciano sharing my sentiments of the season...

It's been a long time since I've been on here. First I was busy writing for clients then I was struck by something I'd never heard of - Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS).
GBS is a very efficient three-in-one condition:
Very basically speaking, I got a cold that wouldn...Read Full Post »

So, my last post said something to the effect that I finally had the time to get back to daily blogging here. You know when someone asks you at work if it's been busy and you say, "No, the phone hasn't rang all day" and then it starts ringing off the hook? Well, that's pretty much what happened.
For online freelancers today, it isn't just a matter of writing for clients. We also write for ourselves, keeping up our own monetized blogs and hubs or working on ...Read Full Post »

I'm baaaack! As you may or may not have noticed, I haven't been blogging here for a year or so. Why? It's a long story that I won't bore you with but I'll get back to this blog to add a post or two every chance I get.
In addition to some new blog entries, you will likely see some more changes to my site. I've neglected the poor thing shamefully and I owe it some attention. At this point, the final product is still a vague concept but hopefully w...Read Full Post »

Do you remember the story about Little Red Riding Hood? In case you've forgotten, I'll refresh your memory.
A little girl in red skips through the forest with a get well care package for her grandma. En route, she runs into a few scaredy-pigs who've had some run ins with a bully wolf. After dealing with the swine (a woman's work is never done), Red finally gets to grandma's house, finds ou...

We lost a comedic icon yesterday. George Carlin succumbed to a long history of heart problems at the age of 71.
How is it possible that George was that old and frail? I grew up listening to his naughty comedy, and I'm not old. He, along with Cheech and Chong, would keep my friends and I howling throughout our teenage years. There was something 'anti-establishment' about their reco...Read Full Post »

Did you happen to see the Yahoo! home page today? If not, I recommend you check it out. It's a pretty interesting place to catch up on what's happening. They have their Featured News section near the top, that's my favourite. It has great photographs and eye-catching captio...

Remember The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Roy Orbison? Ring any bells? We would listen to them on the radio, our parent's hi-fi's, or if we were lucky, portable record players that we could snap the lid down on and carry to our rooms or our friend's houses.
Those were great musical times. Would you like to own a little piece of that music history?

I tuned in to Jeopardy tonight. I like watching that show occasionally because when I get an answer right (or is that question?), I feel smart. Not being a natural brainiac, I get lots wrong, but I also learn a few things. ...Read Full Post »
